Microbial (Mold & Bacteria):

Tallpines offers the following services for the assessment

MICROBIAL ‎‎‎‎‎‎(Website)‎‎‎‎‎‎

of indoor microscopic organisms (microbial):
  • A limited (number of samples) indoor microbial assessment of building or residence to document the presence of microbial contamination, and to make recommendations regarding the sources of water intrusion and building occupant complaints.
  • Indoor air quality assessment (IAQ) related to water intrusion (plumbing leaks, leaking roof, soil moisture), or substandard "comfort parameters" and recommendations to correct.
  • Following the assessment of indoor air hazards, develop contract specifications, conduct a pre-bid meeting with qualified remediation Contractors, and provide air monitoring following the remediation to document that the building is safe for reoccupancy.
  • Provide detailed assessments of buildings or residences with immuno-compromised individuals.  Samples are speciated at the lab to provide occupant's physician with information regarding the species of mold and/or bacteria that may be affecting the patient's health.

Hospital kitchen in Central America with well-developed mold on the ceiling was analyzed as a mixture of Penicillium, Aspergillus, and Cladosporium.  The mold began to bloom due to improperly exhausted steam condensation (on the right under stove hood).  Note the pile of raw chicken in the center of the kitchen being prepared under this viable/living canopy of toxic mold.
